Who am I?

This is a profound question and asks you to go to the core of your very being. I would strongly recommend reading the power of now by Eckhart Tolle or The untethered Soul by Michael Singer.

The purpose of this section is to help you find your authentic self and be able to differentiate it from your ego. Your authentic self needs freeing from the ego.

Authentic self vs ego

Authentic self is soul. its the real you on steroids completely unhindered and unaffected by trauma, life experience, thoughts or emotions. Your vibrational frequency is based on unconditional love, peace, love joy and balance. Each soul has a unique frequency within the soul frequency and this is why in the 3D there are countless manifestations of humans with varying traits that manifest in human form. Each soul expresses and manifests in different ways depending on its frequency.

Ego is based on fear, trauma-based mind and behaviour patterns which result in emotional reactions. It really is a form of programming. Just as Pablo's dogs learned to fear punishment when hearing the bell, so is the human mind conditioned to fear based on past external trauma stimuli. The more we operate from ego the unhappier we become as not only are we suppressing the trauma and denying its processing and subsequent release we are also suppressing a part of our true selves and are running effectively on programs. Like anything that is suppressed, this will cause both psychological and physical disease.

this is why its so important to differentiate between the two.

How do you know which is which?

I will help you with this. I want you to reflect deeply on the questions below. I find journalling in a quiet place uninterrupted really helps, but you can chose any self-reflection method (such as meditation, discussion with a trusted friend/therpaist, etc) that works best for you.

1. Think back to when you were a child. What did you love doing? What brought you unapologetic joy?

2. Again think back to when you were a child...what were your natural personality traits? As we age and accumulate trauma our egos can obscure these traits but they are still there.

3. If you had complete freedom and unconditional support what would you do with your time?

4. What brings you a sense of deep inner peace?

5. What are you naturally good at?

6. Ask a close friend or family member what they admire about you.

This is a two part process

no strict timeline and can move between the two parts. I just found that with time I spent less time on the first part and more time on the second. the first part is hardest as you are learning to stand. the second part helps you to walk and then run and then fly.
